June 27, 2000: Rick’s Audition Tape

Typically when you apply for a job, you send a resumé to the company that you hope will be your future employer. In radio, not only do you need the resumé, but you need to send them some audio of just what you do on the air. It is often referred to as an “air check” or “audition tape”.

On June 27, 2000, Rick happened to find an audition tape of his from the ’80’s. The recording was of him on the air at a radio station down in Huntsville, Alabama. Apparently he was quite the “maniac” on the air there!!

(That’s Rovin’ Ralph you hear with the silly giggle)

My goal is to keep you informed and/or entertained on a regular basis. Maybe you'll learn something new, or just get that much needed laugh. My topics will include a wide range of subjects....from what's going on in the world, to places I've been, things I've seen, or even just a fun video that I've found online. Check back often to see what I've posted.
